Dolphins
![]() Jay & JoJo As many people know, John and Jay spend a good part of the winter in Turks and Caicos; mostly to take a well-earned break from their hectic schedules, but also to spend time with their good friend, JoJo. Over the last 10 years, Jay and JoJo have developed a very special bond. JoJo is a wild dolphin and only allows certain people to come near him. Jay is one of those people. Each year, Jay sends photos and emails of her encounters with JoJo and his companions and returns home with lots of stories to tell and a BIG grin on her face. Here are some of those photos, videos and emails. Jay has an amazing photo album from their annual trips--just ask her to show it to you some time! Click HERE to read Jay's 2010 "JoJo Updates". To download a video about Jay and Jojo, right-click on the following link and select Save Target As... and save it
to your hard drive. Then play it using your computer's video player. It will take quite a while to download, but it's worth it! The following video was shot mostly by Jay. It features many small clips from their last trip to the island. "The first clip shows MoJo and JoJo coming to get me. They wanted to show me a sail boat. At one point you'll see the people from the boat taking pictures of both dolphins. JoJo and MoJo go to the other side of the boat so they can avoid them. Then they come back to me. I swim over JoJo so I can get more footage of Mo. You can see Mo crater fishing and near the end don't take your eyes off it because Mo looks at me then comes right up to the camera under me!! "The second clip shows MoJo looking for fish---he speeds up when he sees one, follows it to the surface and catches it. There is a short take of the nurse shark that MoJo brought to me. the shark had a tear where his fin attached. There is a little more footage of JoJo and me and JoJo scratching on the anchor line."
